Support Worker Roles

 

Our Support Workers are committed and passionate about changing the lives of people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, enabling them to live fulfilled lives and develop their skills. Support Workers work a range of shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays, and may be required to provide sleep in support. Some of the duties of the Support Worker include supporting individuals with activities in the community, household tasks, personal care, learning new skills, maintaining relationships, and managing health conditions. Our Support Workers support individuals to make informed choices and lead the lives they want to live. 
 
Salary: Starting from £11.44 per hour depending on location

Housing Officer Role 

 

Aurora Nexus is seeking a part time Housing Officer to manage tenancies, support tenants, and oversee property maintenance across South London. You’ll ensure smooth tenancy processes, handle rent schedules, conduct inspections, and maintain safety standards. Minimum 1-year housing experience required, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach. Car required for travel.

Hours: 21 hours per week over 3 days 

Salary: £27,000 per annum pro rata

Grants Fundraiser Role

 
As the Grants Fundraiser at Aurora Nexus, you’ll drive the organisation’s fundraising efforts, securing vital grants, expanding income streams, and enhancing community support. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead grant applications, manage funder relationships, track fundraising outcomes, and contribute to strategic growth by aligning fundraising efforts with our broader goals.
 
Hours: 28 hours per week (open to discussing flexible working including remote work)
 
Salary: £30,000 per annum (£40,000 FTE pro rata)

Trustee Roles

 

We are currently recruiting for two new trustees to join our creative and committed board. As a trustee you will be central in setting our future direction and strategy, with your skills and governance enabling us to lay strong foundations for the future. You will lead the charity and decide how it is run. Being a trustee means making decisions that will impact on people’s lives. You will use your skills and experience to support Aurora Nexus and help us achieve our aims.

Salary: The role of Trustee is not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although expenses for travel and childcare or other carers responsibilities may be claimed.
